MONROEVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - Huron County prosecutors have dropped a rape case against a school teacher.
Court records show that prosecutors filed documents on Sept. 2 to dismiss the charges against Holly Bauer, without prejudice.
Prosecutors told the judge the case required further investigation before moving forward.
The judge accepted their motion Monday.
Earlier this year, Huron County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the 42-year-old woman on a felony charge of rape.
Deputies said she worked at the Monroeville Local Schools as a social studies teacher and was suspended.
19 News has followed up with Monroeville Local Schools to learn if Bauer still works there.
