A woman was running a casual errand when her life changed in a moment, because a cat "chose" her.

Hannah, 29, lives in Minnesota, and recently became the owner of rescue cat Signe—completely out of the blue.

As she explained to Newsweek , she went to the pet store to get a bottle of ear cleaner for one of her pet dogs, and just minutes after arriving, "called my husband to let him know that I might have fallen in love with a cat."

The pet store partners with Arrows Heart Animal Rescue, a foster-based rescue group, and the cat was staying in the store with other adoptable cats. And while Hannah "was not planning on getting a cat, at least not for a while yet," Signe immediately caught her eye.
