A dog who thought she was the baby of the family has gone viral for her reaction to the crying newborn her parents welcomed home without her permission.

In an August 26 TikTok video posted by user @camila_eckler, the dachshund sat against her will next to her owner and her new baby sibling. The dog, named Roo, tried to ignore the newborn by resting her snout on the side of the chair and closing her eyes.

But it wasn't enough to block out the baby's cries and whines as her mother tried to bottle-feed her. Frustrated, Roo opened her eyes and immediately stared at the person filming with a look that screamed she "didn't sign up for" this life. She wanted the peace and quiet she knew before to return.

Looking back at the video, the owner wasn't too surprised by Roo's reaction.
