Hanover Police say a traffic stop led to the seizure of more than 15,000 dollars in narcotics and charges against an alleged drug trafficker.
Police say they pulled a vehicle over on 10th Avenue in the southern Grey County town around 12:45 a.m. early Monday morning. Officers allege the driver was not who he claimed he was, and was impersonating someone else who lived in the Greater Toronto Area.
“The male was subsequently arrested and returned to police cells,” Hanover Police say in a release.
Police claim a search of the rental vehicle turned up about $15,700 of narcotics, and $11,000 in cash.
The man was later identified as a 26-year-old from Mississauga. He faces several charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and obstruct a peace offi
