Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick Derrick Harmon suffered a knee injury in the final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. While it appeared to be something that could be season-ending based solely off his body language and getting carted to the locker room, the Oregon product was diagnosed with an MCL sprain and missed Week 1 against the New York, and he will be out Week 2, as well.
Speaking to the media in his weekly press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin classified Harmon as out for Week 2. On top of that, he confirmed DeShon Elliott will be out, as well as Malik Harrison – all of whom are dealing with knee injuries.
Tomlin added that they will be getting Jabrill Peppers “up to speed” and classified the former Patriot as a “football player first” and a position player sec
