Detroit — This time of year, Tina Castleberry would normally be getting her West Davison Street lot ready to sell pumpkins and fall garden décor for her business, The Garden Bug.

But as pumpkin season gets underway, the owner of one of Detroit’s few garden centers is fighting to keep a second location alive amid a rezoning challenge. This summer, Castleberry was ordered to shut down because the property at 4213 and 4225 West Davison isn’t zoned for commercial use.
