GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Guntersville Police Department took to social media to announce a lane shift and road closure on Friday that will affect traffic.
Starting around noon, GPD said Gunter Ave/U.S. 431 will undergo a lane shift to accommodate the high school homecoming parade.
All traffic will be pushed to the right lane during this time.

Around 1:45 p.m., all traffic will be detoured onto LB Wallace to AL 69 for the parade to take place. This closure is expected to be over around 3 p.m.
The department said drivers should expect traffic delays during this time and should travel safely and cautiously in this area.
