(KBTX) - Texas A&M’s Cashius Howell continues to rack in the accolades after his rare trifecta of sacks in a single drive against Utah State.

The Aggie defensive lineman was named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced. Howell was also named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week .

Former Texas A&M offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey raved about Howell’s versatility on the line and his impact during KBTX’s weekly film study .

“That’s really good pass rushing,” Dickey said. “We’ve had some great players at A&M in the past. We’ve had them during the Jimbo tenure, and we’ve got them now, and we’ve got a guy here that really looks like a specialty of his.”
