In April, social media was in complete shock after Pittsburgh Pirates fan Kavan Markwood fell 21 feet from the Clemente Wall in right field at PNC Park while celebrating Andrew McCutchen’s double.

In an exclusive interview with Inside Edition, Markwood detailed the April 30 incident that changed his life forever.

On April 30, the Pirates hosted the Chicago Cubs in a game that quickly became entirely different.

The video showed Markwood flipping in the air before landing on the ground in the outfield.

He was treated for his injuries before being carted away to a nearby hospital. He was left with a broken back, neck, and fractured ribs.

“I don’t know how I’m alive,” Kavan Markwood told Inside Edition during Monday’s episode.
