OSCODA – The rich history of Oscoda High School athletics will once again be celebrated on Friday. Prior to the Owl’s home varsity football game against Elk Rapids, the Oscoda Athletic Hall of Fame committee will officially enshrine its 2025 batch of hall of famers.

“We do get really excited (for this event),” committee member and Oscoda athletic director Cheri Meier said. “We started this in 2017, so this is our ninth class. As you do the research and delve into it, you forget how good and how rich our athletic history was. It is exciting, we have a good turnout coming.”

Members in this year’s class include multi-sport star Rhonda Hofacer, successful coach Larry Quellman and the 1961 Oscoda football team. The ceremony will take place in the OHS gymnasium, beginning at 5:45 p.m. There wi
