WHITEWATER, Wis. -- The newest flock of Warhawks is expected to be a record-breaker.

UW-Whitewater said a projected 12,075 students enrolled at the school for the fall semester including 2,459 new freshman, marking the largest freshman class in a decade.

"We are thrilled to welcome new students, both first-year and transfers, to the Warhawk family and excited for those who are continuing their college journey with us," Chancellor Corey King said in a statement.

This semester's enrollment is a projected 3% increase from the final fall 2024 tally. The university saw an increase in students at both the main campus and Rock County campus.
