CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — Inmates at the Cleveland County Detention Center (CCDC) received their own tablet device that will be used for education, communication, and well-being purposes.

The CCDC received 550 tablets for its inmates through a partnership with NCIC Correctional Service, allowing each of them to have their own device that can be used daily from 7 a.m. until lights out.

Officials say inmates will be allowed to take classes, read books and the Bible, listen to music, stay connected with family through monitored calls, video visits, mail, and order commissary items with the tablets.
