MABLETON, Ga. — Police apprehended three students at Pebblebrook High School after a report of a weapon on campus put the school on lockdown.

Police cars were blocking the main entrance to the school.

Some parents reportedly went to the school to check on their children after a picture of a person with a gun in a bathroom was posted on social media. 11Alive is working to confirm the authenticity of that image, which was later deleted.

"Earlier today, Pebblebrook High School briefly went into a Code Red lockdown due to an altercation and a reported weapon on campus," the spokesman said. "Police have apprehended two of the students who were involved, and the search continues for a third."
