Former Metro Government veteran Bill Herbert has joined Winstead PC as a shareholder in the Texas law firm’s local real estate development and investments practice group.

Herbert arrives at the Nashville office of the Dallas-founded firm after having served for a second time as director of the Metro Codes Department. He rejoined the department in December 2023 (read here ) after having worked in 2022-23 with local law firm Thompson Burton as a partner focused on land-use matters. Prior to that, he served as the Metro Codes Department director from 2018 to 2022. He previously was a zoning administrator with the department.
