NEXT 12: Dry and milder overnight, lows in the 50s

SHORT TERM: Warmer with highs in the mid to upper 80s for the remainder of the workweek

LONG TERM: Heat wave begins this weekend with a prolonged period of 90s and small storm chances

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Mostly clear skies are with us overnight as warmer air slowly starts to move in. This will result in low temperatures that are a bit warmer than previous nights, minimum readings in the 50s for us all by Wednesday morning.

Warmer air continues to move in on Wednesday, pushing most of us into the mid 80s for highs during the afternoon. We’ll likely stay dry, but there is a sneaky sub-10% pop-up shower chance west of I-65 in the afternoon as more humid air moves in.
