WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A teenager has been arrested for shooting and critically injuring an 18-year-old in Winston-Salem, according to police.

On Aug. 12, police responded around 6:08 p.m. to the 5000 block of Farmoor Circle and found Abdel Amir Menendez Rodriguez with gunshot wounds.

Rodriguez was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries were considered life-threatening.

Nearly a month later, police arrested Kamron Brown, 16, in connection with the shooting.

He was charged with the following:

Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury

Three (3) counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, causing serious injury

Robbery with a dangerous weapon

Discharging a firearm within city limits

Possession of a handgun by a
