LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky's governor spoke Monday about the future of politics in post-Trump America in a CNN interview.

Gov. Andy Beshear appeared on CNN's "Anderson Cooper's 360," and discussed Vice President JD Vance, as well as his own political future.

During the interview, the governor doubled down on his negative view of Vance.

"Donald Trump doesn't come off like he's talking down to people," Beshear said. "Donald Trump doesn't generally act like he is better than people. And you see that with JD Vance. You see how he talks not just about people, but about Europe, about our alliances."

Beshear went on to criticize how Vance spoke about Kentucky in his memoir "Hillbilly Elegy," saying, "the way he has exploited the people of Kentucky for personal gain is just wrong.”
