Boston firefighters rescued an injured construction worker from a South End building on Tuesday following a worksite accident, according to the city’s fire department.

The worker was injured at a building at 547 Albany St. that was undergoing construction, the Boston Fire Department wrote on social media . Firefighters safely rescued him from the building’s third floor.

The construction worker was conscious and alert when he was taken to a hospital, the fire department said . The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and a Boston building inspector will investigate what caused the accident.
