An injured worker was rescued by emergency personnel following an accident at a building under construction in Boston on Tuesday afternoon.

Boston fire said in a social media post around 12:30 p.m. that they were involved in a technical rescue for a worker injured at a building under construction at 547 Albany St. Firefighters were able to safely extricate the worker from the third floor using a ladder truck, and he was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Fire officials said the worker was conscious and alert when they were transported by Boston EMS. They said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the building inspector will investigate the cause of the accident.
