PITTSBURGH (BLACK & GOLD NATION) — According to coach Mike Tomlin, the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed a veteran presence in Jabril Peppers to their secondary as former New England Patriots safety was released from the Patriots organization.
Peppers, 28, became a free agent after being released in a surprise move during final roster cutdowns. A first-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2017, he has also played for the New York Giants and Patriots across his eight-year NFL career.
The Michigan standout earned unanimous All-American honors in 2016 and was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, Linebacker of the Year and Return Specialist of the Year before entering the league.
