TSTC will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Power and Mechanical Center, located at 2004 Quantum Loop in Abilene, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sep. 11. The nearly 50,000-square-foot facility is home to four programs: Diesel Equipment, Electrical Lineworker and Management, HVAC, and Plumbing and Pipefitting. Tours of the facility will be provided after the ceremony.

TSTC was allocated funding through the Capital Construction Assistance Projects, under Senate Bill 52 during the 87th Texas legislative session in 2021, for construction of the new facility.
