CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Havelock man is accused of bilking nearly a dozen people who thought they were signing up for an adult softball team.

Craven County deputies say Jordan Sholl has been charged with nine counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

Warrants say he took between $80 and $261 from nine victims earlier this year, and the people never received their registration, equipment, and jersey.

Sholl is accused of taking more than $1,200 from the victims.

The 30-year-old man was arrested on Friday and remains in jail on a $180,000 secured bond.
