JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) - The City of Jackson and Hinds County announced a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will address street resurfacing and pothole repairs throughout the capital city.
Under the partnership, Hinds County will provide personnel and equipment to help with the infrastructure work. According to Jackson Mayor John Horhn, the city will fund the repairs.
The MOU was signed by Horhn and Hinds County Board of Supervisors President Robert Graham, District 1.
“Jackson residents deserve safe, well-maintained streets, and this partnership delivers action, not just promises,” said Horhn. “By combining the county’s workforce and the city’s resources, we’re taking a common-sense approach to finally address one of Jackson’s most urgent challenges.
