DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Duluth’s Denfeld High School went into a lockdown Tuesday morning.
According to leaders with Denfeld High School, the school was placed on a precautionary lockdown at 10:43 a.m. at the recommendation of the Duluth Police Department.
The lockdown was lifted after 12 minutes when police responded and said it was clear to resume normal activities.
An unrelated threat was also addressed during this time, and the Duluth Police Department served a warrant on school grounds.
Due to data privacy laws, the school cannot disclose more information about the additional threat.
According to DPD, the school went into lockdown as a precautionary measure after Denfeld’s School Resource Officer was notified of a student who had a felony warrant out for their arrest.
