FINDLAY — Little Red Schoolhouse, a 19th-century school on the grounds of the Hancock Historical Museum, will be open to the public for tours on Sunday.
The free open house will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the facility at 8884 Hancock County Road 236. No reservations are required. Docents will guide visitors as they explore the one-room schoolhouse and children’s activities are planned.
Built in 1882, the building was a school until 1936. It was then used to store grain for 36 years until the Hancock County Retired Teachers and the Hancock Historical Society restored the schoolhouse in 1972, the statement said.
