The two big winners in the Sept. 6 $1.787 billion Powerball drawing bought their tickets in Missouri and Texas.

But a $1 million second-prize ticket was sold in the Hudson Valley.

The ShopRite supermarket at Thompson Square in Monticello sold one of two tickets that won second prize in the Sept. 6 drawing that were sold in the state.

As of Sept. 9, the newly minted millionaire had not come forward.

Lindsey Della Rovere, a spokesperson for ShopRite, said, "This exciting moment has created a buzz at the local store and in the broader Sullivan County community."

The team at ShopRite in Monticello is looking forward to the opportunity to celebrate with their lucky customer.
