SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — A woman is in police custody after allegedly hitting her coworker with a car in Slidell.

Paramedics were alerted at 11 p.m. Sunday of a woman falling in the parking lot of a community care center. Responders arrived and transported the woman to a hospital for treatment.

Due to a decline in the woman's vitals, medical personnel determined her injuries were "consistent with being struck by a vehicle" and alerted the Slidell Police Department.

The woman's injuries were classified as critical.

The next day, Sept. 8, SPD officers began investigating and after reviewing security footage, they learned that the woman, a care center employee, was walking across the parking lot when 67-year-old Lillian Sellers allegedly violently struck the victim with her SUV while backing
