HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Warrick County Commissioner Terry Phillipe was found not guilty on charges of official misconduct and false informing following a bench trial on Tuesday.

According to court documents, a special judge entered a judgement of acquittal for Phillipe on both charges. Phillipe was facing charges connected to Indiana State Police's investigation into former Warrick County Animal Control Director Danielle Barnes.

Two other commissioners, Dan Saylor and Robert Johnson Jr., were also charged in connection to the case, but their charges were later dropped.
