Democrats are hurdling toward becoming the party of socialism , embracing the failed ideology right after voters made it clear in the 2024 elections that the party is too radical.

Gallup found that capitalism has its lowest approval rating (54%) in the United States since 2010, the first time the polling outlet asked this question. That is being driven by Democrats, whose approval has dropped below 50% for the first time, with just 42% viewing capitalism in a positive way. Meanwhile, Democratic approval of socialism is at 66%, the highest it has ever been. For comparison, independents still have a 51% approval rating of capitalism, while their approval of socialism has dropped over the years to 38%.
