‘S.W.A.T.’ spinoff adds two stars from original series

The “S.W.A.T.” spinoff, “S.W.A.T. Exiles,” is adding two more stars from the original series to the cast.

Jay Harrington (Sergeant David “Deacon” Kay) and Patrick St. Esprit (Commander Robert Hicks) will both reprise their roles in the pilot episode of “S.W.A.T. Exiles,” Deadline reported on Monday, Sept. 8. It’s unclear if they will appear in additional episodes as well.

It was previously announced that “S.W.A.T.” star Shemar Moore (Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson Jr.) will helm the new series. Moore told Harrington about the spinoff one day before it was announced. Before he was asked to participate, Harrington didn’t blame Moore for signing on to the new show without his former castmates .
