CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This week, the North Carolina State Auditor's Office says they will release the investigative report into Charlotte City Council's closed-door payout to CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings.

The city settled with Jennings in May for $305,000, following a public and private disagreement between him and former council member Tariq Bokhari over whether patrol officers should wear outer carrier vests. Jennings alleged his state and federal rights were violated as a result, according to the separation agreement.
