A body was found Monday in a car that belongs to a popular singer days after he performed at Chicago's Salt Shed, according to authorities.

Workers at the tow yard reported a strong odor coming from the Tesla, that is registered to singer D4vd, NBC 4 LA reported . Officers opened the front trunk and found the remains in a bag, police said.

D4vd's tour made a stop at Chicago's Salt Shed on Saturday, Sept 6., just two days before the body was found.

"D4vd has been informed about what's happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities," a spokesperson for the singer told NBC4 LA Tuesday.

D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, is a singer-songwriter who rose to fame after his tunes went viral on Tiktok, where he has 3.6 million followers.
