WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Trumbull County Auditor Martha Yoder is asking commissioners to pass a resolution authorizing the auditor's and prosecutor's offices to come up with a cybersecurity training program.
Under House Bill 96 -- which takes effect at the end of the month -- each local government entity will be required to implement a cybersecurity program.
Yoder says one of the big requirements is to establish cybersecurity training for all county employees.
"We write our own. This is not out of the box from the state we're given guidelines for it, and we'll have to follow those guidelines," Yoder said.
Yoder says the county's implementation due date is Jan. 1, 2026.
