EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man who allegedly threatened to shoot up a behavioral facility in Edinburg on Tuesday was arrested in rural Mission.

Edinburg police say Timothy Leos reportedly made the threat because his girlfriend is a current patient at the facility and he wanted her out.

Detectives with the Edinburg Police Criminal Investigations Division were able to track down Leos and his vehicle in the Mission area.

The Texas Department of Public Safety assisted in identifying Leos' vehicle with a helicopter.

A deputy with the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office stopped and arrested Leos near Stewart Road and State Highway 107 in Mission.

Leos was arrested without incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
