The Mesa City Council is set to vote on whether to hold a public hearing for a rezoning of a proposed 137-unit townhome development during its upcoming meeting.

The meeting takes place at 5:45 p.m. September 8 at 20 E. Main St.

The council will look over an ordinance that attempts to align two parcels, one of 3.3 acres and another 3.7-plus acres from one multifamily zoning to another with a specific overlay and decide whether to hold a public hearing on Sept. 22 to vote on the ordinance.

The development, called 4062 E. Main, is 1,600 feet west of the northwest corner of East Main Street and North Greenfield Road, according to council documents. The site plan for 4062 E. Main is a 137-unit attached single-residence development.
