DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The city of Middletown is still navigating how to move forward after the mid-August cyber attack, including issues with utility bills.

The attack disrupted multiple city functions and prompted a local, state and federal response.

The city said it is working with third-party specialists to restore network systems damaged by the recent cybersecurity incident and it’s using backup processes where needed.

“While we are focused on restoring these systems as soon as possible, we are not yet able to provide a timeline for restoration. In the meantime, we continue to serve residents using backup processes where needed,” wrote the city.
