LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Neenah Foundry Company spokesperson announced on Monday that the Lincoln foundry will close on Dec. 31 and reopen as a distribution center on Jan. 1, 2026.

The company manufactures cast iron manhole covers, gratings and other specialty castings designed to support industries such as construction, wastewater, aviation, and utilities.

“We credit the success of the Lincoln plant to the dedication of our team of over 100 people, many of whom have been with us for decades,” said President and CEO Vik Bhatia. “We are grateful for their dedicated service to our company and our customers.”

Around 100 positions will be eliminated in the conversion. The company’s customer service team will continue to operate in Lincoln.
