KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) - Marsh Regional Blood Center is set to host its annual 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive Thursday to increase blood donations in multiple locations across the Tri-Cities.

The blood drive will be hosted at Marsh Regional Blood Center sites in Kingsport, Johnson City and Bristol.

Marsh's goal is to increase blood donations of all types, supplying shortages specifically with those of O-, O+ and A-.

Marsh Regional Blood Center Director Steffanie Sukel said that she hopes the event makes a positive impact for donors and patients.
