A roadside fight led a 53-year-old Senita man to stab someone in the stomach Friday night, said police.

Charles D. Roberts was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest stemming from the fight, according to arrest records.

Officers first learned of the incident just after 9 p.m. Friday when medical staff at Exceptional Community Hospital alerted police. Aside from the 3-by-2-inch stab wound, the victim, identified as Carlos Clark, had also suffered several head contusions. He initially told police he was attacked by a stranger at a Maricopa Circle K.
