Body found in Mojave was in early stages of decomposition: Kern County Sheriff's Office

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County Sheriff's officials said a man's body found Saturday in Mojave was in the early stages of decomposition.

On Saturday, officials described the body to be of a man in his 50s. He has not yet been identified by the coroner's office.

A passerby notified emergency responders of the decomposing body in the 300 block of Trotter Avenue in Mojave at around 12 p.m.

Homicide investigators assumed the investigation. Officials did not say how the body got there. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
