ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) The Isle of Palms is taking action after residents called for more safety measures at the marina boat ramp.
Earlier this month, a rideshare driver says his GPS told him to make a turn and the next thing he knew he was in the water. This is not the first time this happened to someone. An elderly couple was rescued last September after their GPS sent them off the boat ramp as well. It's something we’ve dealt with once before so we’re having a conversation with it once again to help make it more visible than it already was," said Isle of Palms Police Chief Kevin Cornett.
