BELLEROSE, Queens (PIX11) --- A parolee wanted in connection with a double murder in Queens on Monday has a string of violent robberies, including one where he was convicted of sexually assaulting a worker in a Manhattan store 20 years ago, authorities said Tuesday.
In November 2005, Jamel McGriff, 42, robbed a 34-year-old man at knifepoint on an F train near the Delancey Street-Essex Street subway station in Lower Manhattan, according to the NYPD. McGriff took the victim's $200 watch and $40 in cash, police said.
Nine days later, he was armed with a knife when he stole $300 from a Manhattan business near 16th Street and Seventh Avenue and sexually assaulted a woman who worked in the store, cops said. The 23-year-old woman was injured during the attack, according to state records.
