(KRON) -- An East Bay music venue said it will no longer be allowing artists to use artificial intelligence-generated flyers. Thee Stock Club in Oakland took to Instagram on Tuesday in a lengthy post in which it decried AI as "meme slop," and the use of it to promote shows as "not very punk."
"Over the last few months we've started getting AI generated flyers for our shows from various sources like indie labels, party promoters and everyone in between," read the post, which seemed to contain deliberate spelling errors. "And we are seeing other venues post them as well. And the frequency is ramping up."
