SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- The fire in the main concession stand at Avista Stadium on Friday was accidental, according to Spokane Valley fire investigators.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department said the fire started in the space above the walk-in cooler on the west side of the concession building and spread into the attic.
No one was inside when the fire happened.
SVFD said the building did not have smoke detectors or fire protection in place when the fire broke out.
The damage from the fire is estimated to be between $2 million and $2.5 million.
