The 49ers continue to receive promising news regarding the severity of Jauan Jennings' injury.

Jennings underwent additional testing on Tuesday and scans on his shoulder came back clean, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported, citing a source, adding the wide receiver "avoided any significant injury."

The 28-year-old will be considered day-to-day as San Francisco preps for its Week 2 matchup on Sunday against the Saints in New Orleans.

Jennings exited the game after suffering a shoulder injury late in San Francisco's Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks. He finished with just two receptions for 16 yards.
