ESPN radio analyst and former NFL defensive lineman Chris Canty said he is “concerned” about Brock Purdy’s play after the 49ers’ Week 1 win against the Seattle Seahawks .

“We asked the question all offseason long, can he be a force-multiplier?” Canty questioned on "Unsportsmanlike". “And credit to him, he was the engineer of that game-winning drive. But once they got into that red zone, there were some mistakes that left a lot to be desired.”

On the game-winning drive, Purdy completed all six pass attempts for 67 yards, including a 45-yard completion to Ricky Pearsall and the game-winning touchdown pass to Jake Tonges .
