Hilary Duff is making a surprise return to music — and her fans couldn't be happier.
The 37-year-old singer and actor, who hasn't released an album of new songs since 2015's “Breathe In. Breathe Out.,” has signed a deal with Atlantic Records, according to a Sept. 9 press release.
The former “Lizzie McGuire” and “Younger” star is also collaborating with Sam Wrench, the filmmaker behind “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” and “A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter,” on an "intimate docuseries" that chronicles her return to music and her personal journey, the release said.
The docuseries will embrace "the ups, downs, and everything in between" and show Duff "as she balances raising a family, recording new music, live show rehearsals, and preparing to perform on stage for the first time
