Erie’s annual Fall Clean-Up Day will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leon A. Wurl Service Center, 150 Lambert Ave.
Residents can get rid of items that don’t belong in regular trash or recycling. Proof of residency, such as a utility bill or photo ID with an Erie address, is required for the event.
Accepted materials include unwanted household goods, electronics, medication, building materials, scrap metal and mattresses. Paper shredding will also be available.
Household hazardous waste will be accepted only until noon, so residents are encouraged to arrive early if they need to drop off paint, pesticides, cleaners or other hazardous items.
