BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - A man charged with murder following a suspected DUI crash that killed two in 2022 in Boyd County was sentenced today.
Payton Sparks was sentenced to 17 years in the Kentucky State Penitentiary.
He plead guilty to both counts of manslaughter in the first degree, both counts of wanton endangerment, and of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/narcotics.
Prosecutors said Sparks was under the influence of marijuana and Xanax.
