FARGO — If you have a warrant in Cass County, deputies say they are coming for you.
With more room now available in the expanded jail, the sheriff’s office is looking to track down nearly 3,000 people with warrants. Sheriff Jesse Jahner said Tuesday, Sept. 9, there are 2,862 warrants his office is working to clear.
“We will be out actively seeking people at this point,” Jahner said.
Jahner said the efforts for the more than 800 people with felony warrants never stopped. However, more than 2,000 people wanted on misdemeanor warrants will now be tracked down. After facing overcrowding for years, the jail expansion now gives Cass County nearly 200 more beds.
“There were people who were actively telling law enforcement that they knew we couldn’t arrest them and they weren’t taking care of
